Welcome To The Lion Tavern
Just a minute’s walk from Moorfields station on the corner with Tithebarn Street in the city of Liverpool, sits the beautifully restored Lion Tavern pub.
We are a traditional pub, proudly providing a refreshingly different and constantly changing selection of beers from local breweries and further afield. Cask ales, real ciders, local gins, and an ever growing selection of Irish Whiskey, alongside Scottish single malt Whisky and Bourbon. Not forgetting our locally-sourced pork pies.
We have gained a number of CAMRA awards, having been voted Liverpool CAMRA Pub of the Year 2020-2021, and Pub of Excellence 2022.
The pub consists of a central serving area with the bar at the front, and two cosy lounges to the rear of the bar, both with fireplaces. We also have one of the best jukeboxes in Liverpool, which is free to use.

An easy drinking pale ale. Brewed using Slovenian Bobek hops, this session beer is light and hoppy with delicate floral aromas and a well balanced finish.
