It’s been a wee while since we last spoke and an awful lot has happened. We had the visit from the representatives of the Scottish Tourist Board, who managed to behave like a bunch of hairy arsed savages and were a wonderful shambling advert for the reconstruction of Hadrian’s Wall.
There’s been two more Chancellors Of The Exchequer, and there may be another one on the way unless I type a bit quicker!
Last week I went over to Ireland, or Whiskey-land as a good(?) friend of mine described it and have brought back some of the finest whiskey ever distilled. Powers Triple Swallow, Redbreast Lustau and the new distillery, The Friend at Hand, have produced a cask strength single malt named ‘The Fighting Irish’, I’ve tried them all (obviously!) and they’re all pretty damn good, so rather than pay an extortionate amount of money for your heating bills have a warming tot of the good stuff.
See you soon,
